Beyerdynamic DT990

Serve up plenty of detail but you can do better for the money.

- Comfortable, stylish, good levels of detail, weighty sound
Against
- Harsh treble, cheap feel
The big metal vents give off an air of stylish industrial dependability, although the cushioning feels a little cheap to the touch.
The open-back Beyerdynamics DT990s serve up much detail and boast a driving bass, but the treble is hard and, while the mid-range is capable, it's not great.
Put brutally, you can do better for your money.
