In summary I agree with WHF review - this is a great sounding speaker and in my opinion one of the best sounding ones of its type (ie single box) available at any price and if you are considering buying it, you won't be disappointed. It got 5 stars in what hifi and personally preferred it to the more expensive Bowers A7 that I also owned, which is also good. I would describe the sound as being slightly on the warm side of neutral like a good valve amp and highly detailed/ refined. It can also play reasonably loud and sounds good with anything I've played on it from rock to electronic. Strings / piano and female voices sound lovely. Bass is frankly amazing for the size and very well controlled, treble refined and very detailed and nice open midrange. The stereo separation is also good for a product if this type. I guess the biggest compliment I can give this speaker is that it's the one I use the most and when listening one forgets about trying to analyse the sound quality and just enjoys the great music it delivers. Many speakers, even expensive ones tend to cause listener fatigue after a while - not this one! For the more technically minded this is a fully active speaker with electronic DSP driven 4th order crossover and separate class d amp for each driver (though it really doesn't have a typical class d sound). It has 2 x1" soft dome tweeters and 2 x4.5 mid bass drivers. It is also heavy at 8kg and very well built with the back plate acting as a heatsink for the amp. As background I have been into hifi for years and have owned all kinds of expensive equipment; valve amps, high end solid state, expensive speakers money no object stuff - I include this just to show how picky I am! So my main system currently comprised some AVI active ADM9.1 speakers with sub (which also sound great) and I use Apple Airplay and Sonos. In summary if you are reading this and thinking about it just buy it. Within the limitations of a product of this type it's fantastic and a bargain. Set up is also very easy and wifi performance rock solid. It also has optical, usb and 3.5mm line in and can handle both airplay and can also stream via wifi from non apple products by creating its own network.
Audio Pro allow multi-room streaming. Is there a setting to enable stereo streaming with the use of two Air Ones?
Looks nice but of course it's a single speaker so no real stereo seperation

This is a top-notch surround package for the money. It’s a worthy alternative to the award-winning KEF R100 5.1
A great amp with some notable musical skills, but it loses a star compared with its better-performing, better-specified rivals
Another admirable and attractive soundbar from LG, pipped to that fifth star by fierce competition
