Having bought this on the strength of the review, I'd say it's not bad...
But I get much better sound using a Lifatec glass fibre optic cable http://www.lifatec.com/toslink2.html
Yeah, it's a bit more expensive, but the sound is warmer, more natural and lacks an artificial tinge which the Atlas seems to give.
For anyone who's a disbeliever digital connections can be superior or inferior of each other, take a chance, buy a Lifatec and compare it to USB or other cheap optical and see if you surprise yourself. It surprised me and the wife (who is very much against my hifi upgrading agenda)

Chord’s QBD76 HDSD is a top-class converter that delivers a brilliant sound from a well-built package. It has plenty of visual appeal, too
There are more talented rivals on the scene, but the veterans are enduring greats
Cracking value for an all-in-one home cinema system with only a few spec and performance gripes qualifying our praise
