Yeah, it's a bit more expensive, but the sound is warmer, more natural and lacks an artificial tinge which the Atlas seems to give.
For anyone who's a disbeliever digital connections can be superior or inferior of each other, take a chance, buy a Lifatec and compare it to USB or other cheap optical and see if you surprise yourself. It surprised me and the wife (who is very much against my hifi upgrading agenda)

Having bought this on the strength of the review, I'd say it's not bad...
