I have no problem with the Tuner. The reception and sound quality are excellent. However I do have a problem with the supplied CR90 Remote. After each command press, the power LED blinks for around three seconds. While this is happening you can't enter another command. This is OK for single commands, but when trying to continuously adjust the Amp. volume, or cycle through the unassigned DAB stations using the remote, this delay is a real pain. In DAB mode the Tuner defaults back to the previously saved station after about four to five seconds, leaving a minimal time to either select and store the current station, or move on to the next DAB station. Anyone know how to overcome this delay problem?
The remote lamp should only blink once when a command is sent, not stay lit for that long
Sounds to me like the remote may have inadvertantly gone into a programming mode or some other function.
Provided you haven't set up a load of macros on the remote – they'll be erased by the following – I'd try a reset of the remote.
1. Press and hold SHIFT until the power LED blinks twice2. Press 9 8 0 . The power LED blinks four times3. Press and hold SHIFT until the power LED blinks twice4. Press 9 9 3.5. Press AMP. The power key LED blinks twice6. Press and hold SHIFT until the power LED blinks twice7. Press 9 7 1 . The power LED blinks twice8. Press AMP . The power key LED blinks twice9.That's it – the remote should now be back to factory defaults.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks for your advice. I followed your process and it now works perfectly. I have only had the CR 90 for around one week but had the problem from the time I loaded the batteries and was unsure if this was the way it was intended to work. Thanks again.
No probs – glad it worked, and happy to help.
Anyone have insight into any comparisons between this & the AVR600 on board radio, internet or otherwise?
Seems a bit of a joke to buy something when what your thinking of purchasing may already be apart of a piece of equipment you already own.
....Ok but what sounds better on this model DAB or FM? I reckon many WHIFI posters would appreciate an opinion.
t.lunnon £550 for a dab/fm tuner thats silly
money I have a cambridge dab tuner cost £100 and its
The Arcam T32 DAB+ is truly a little beauty.
Worth the money maybe, albeit a lot of the folding stuff is required to buy this unit here in Australia.
Reception is excellent, given radio reception here at my home at Bondi Beach, Sydney is not always the best.
The big winners are the AM stations & the Govt run ABC stations on the DAB+ Band.
FM, i would still be tuning into the dedicated FM Band for best the best sound quality there.
Build quality is excellent as one would expect given the cost, and its also a sexy looking unit.
Good work Arcam.
