I think you have been extremely unfair with the review on this product

Depending on what cd you play the overal sound is fantastic. I too at first thought that the sound was a little flat but discovered that if you press the ess button the sound once again becomes bright and lively in all the right places as well as low and punchy.

I'm not sure what the ESS button does, perhaps it's a sort of loudness button that doesn't quiet live up to it's name.

I am so pleased with it it makes my movies and music come to life. In dioxins/cirrus I paid �99.

Bargain.  It's deffinately better than the in built speakers on my IPhone
