Very disappointed with this TV. After only 2 years of use it needs a new display costing a further £400 on top of the original £2000 purchase price. Get your reliability sorted Sony!
I'm not so sure,as i've said in a couple of posts,i have the 46"w5500 and the backlight is no different to the 40"w4500 which was fine when i got it.I even had it 6 weeks before the prod.of year award.I bought this one (46"w5)in oct. 09.

Damn you Sony... I have waited ages to buy the 40W5500 and then there was backlight issues with the set... now this one too... Buuu for you... lol...
