Agreed. Four stars. Especially if you are just streaming music, Internet radio or playing regular mp3's from a single source eg Airport Express. The Pro-ject DAC is exactly what I needed for my "antique" Linn LK140 tri-amp Aktiv Ninka and Apple TV2/Plex setup. If you are full FLAC and really need the whole hog of extra features go with the new Rega DAC (2-3x the price).
Very good "analog" sound... Deserves four stars rating at least, IMHO even five. Compared with DacMagic... would not trade for more facilities insted of better sound quality. Dac Magic sounds more digital. Did not auditioned MF V-dac.
