less than 20 hours in - stunning - so much power but with finesse
380 hours of running in to go - I plan to listen to all of them
wont make a bad recording sound great, what will except the delete key!! - does make everything sound better, even mp3s sound better, except the real bad ones - again delete key
Have to say I was hugely dissapointed. I used it with closed Audio Technica A900 and was fully unimpressed. Wanna post it here because high rating of What Hi Fi was among reasons to choose this model.
After all come to conclusion separate headphones amplifier is unnecessary at least for electronic & pop. Both older Rotel amp and HK receiver provided an overall better sound quality at least for my taise. Basically, Graham Slee provided almost nothing extra in terms of soundstage and details, sounded even less expressed even after long burn in...
May work better with other music styles or different tastes or equipment
I've had mine since June,2009 and it was £235,i have seen it for between £213 and £244 but on the web it could be even less. But to get to the opinion, it is a superb headphone amp,as it states on the tin{What HiFi Review]the"first step for serious headphone users"and that's the only problem with it-it makes you want to take the next step[which is no bad thing if you can afford it!]
Awesome Awesome Awesome. I borrowed one from a local hifi dealer and it made my Sennheiser HD580s (a 12 year old pair of cans) sound better than a pair of HD650s, which are the best cans ive heard below £400.00. I was saving up the £350 to buy new phones but this little beauty means i dont have to. To Graham and his team : well done. Youve brought my headphone listening experience to life again.

Hook it up with a pair of AKG K702's and then say it can't do electronica.
Not recommending the phones per se as they are something of an acquired taste, but with electronic they really, really hit believe me.
