Ecosse CS2.4
For
Respectable detail levels; decent bass weight
Against
Over-enthusiastic
Ecosse’s nifty CS 2.4 impressed from the start with its insightful yet strong delivery.
Given Aztec Camera’s gentle Stray, this cable delivered a subtle sound, with lashings of detail, and a midrange that handles vocals with skill.
It’s a close call with this and its closest rivals but we found this otherwise fine Ecosse to have a touch of top-end brightness at times which, coupled with a touch of leanness in the bass, costs it that final star.
