I've been 'raving' about this receiver in these forums for months.........

It now has the review I hoped/expected. It really is a cracking machine, and is very capable with 2 channel music, as well as movies, which is a bonus.

Buy with confidence, knowing you are purchasing one the of the best receivers under 1000, in my opinion.

I have now bought this home cinema amp and am well pleased with it. Across the front I have B&W 602s and centre B&W CC3. The rears are Cambridge Audio S30s. I now have to update my TV but am waiting for ones that incorporate the DVB T2 HD freeview tuner. I see Sony will be one of the first but hopefully all will follow suite shortly.

I'm going to buy this amp with the B&W 685, changing the ASW608 for the better ASW610 sub.

PS US model appears to only have one set of pre-amp outputs and zero stereo audio outputs.  But that's not much difference for 300 quid!!

US$920.10 in Bestbuy, INCLUDING Texas sales tax.  That's about 600 quid, right?

Excellent dynamic in music and movie, plenty of details but bass a little bit soft.

Can anybody recommend a good mid-range set of speakers to compliment this amp?

I've combined this monster with 2x Kef Q5 and 1x Kef Q9 and 2x Wharfedale EVO2-8..

Really enjoy the how it totally can rock my appartement with movies.. It was great watching phantom of the opera on blu-ray.

Just got for $600cdn new in the box. Sound is incredible. Feels like I'm listening to a new set of speakers. However, the remote feels big and cheap compared to my old Onkyo SR-505 and the included FM antennae is horrible. FM sounds horrible with the included antennae. I switched the antennae that came with my old Onkyo and sound was greatly improved.

Can the pre outs on this model be used to run the Front LR speakers through my Cyrus Pre Amp?
