Sleek and slim but a bit big for the average pocket – get past that and video and internet functions are excellent

I have just got the 250gb version today - an early birthday present and new job gift!  I was a little nervous about getting it as I've had Archos units before and they've all been faulty or impossible to link to wifi home hub. However, halleluliah, this one actually works - it connected to my BT home hub, my Sky Plus box, records as it should, video quality is superb and so far so good.  It's quite heavy but for what it can do, I don't think you can really expect anything else!  Contrary to other reviews I've read, if you read the instruction manual to set it up with the DVR station, it should work!  It took me a while but that was just because it took time to find the right code for my Sky Box and also set the channels.  It found a lot of the channels but some are missing - this is probably because, for example, 109 is now Watch as opposed to G.O.L.D. etc...  The only thing I find a little annoying is using the remote control for the DVR station as it's a bit confusing to know which button to press to execute a command!  Also, it's difficult to see what's on the TV screen from a distance and it took some time to figure out how to stop a recording manually but I got there.  I've managed to set up my email on it which means I can read on the TV but I'm uncertain whether you can add more than one email account and I have about five of them!!!

Some people have reported that it takes time to set up the unit - it does but it's worth it when it's done.  I will have to try it out in the gym tomorrow and watch all the rubbish I record tonight - I'll report back later with an update!!!  I say, go for it - I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!!
