Xbox 360: HD video streaming

Xbox 360 owners will be able to stream high-definition video from Microsoft's Zune HD store, starting November 17th.

At the same time, social networking sites Facebook and Twitter will become available on the Xbox 360 dashboard, as will Last.fm radio.

The additions to the Xbox Live network were first announced at the E3 show in Los Angeles back in June.

Microsoft's Zune video service is billed as "the premium partner" in the Xbox Live Video Marketplace, bringing an exciting catalogue of TV and films to the platform".

Users will be able to watch a wide selection of TV and film content how and when they want, either by instant streaming, downloading to rent or downloading to own. There will be additional content in high definition.

We'll bring you more details as we get them.

Sony, despite having access already via the built in web browser to Facebook twitter etc., seem to be worried. A new facebook client to be added soon so direct access from the XMB. Yet for me, still not iPlayer HD. Bad boys sony

Still no iPlayer which is frankly unforgivable.

If we are still not going toget the Zune HD, they I feel the zune store for Xbox 360 wil also not see the light of day in this country .
