Panasonic DMP-BD35
Panasonic has just announced a replacement for its DMP-BD30 player at IFA, the DMP-BD35, and we're the first in the world to test it

Panasonic announced two brand-new Blu-ray players at its IFA press conference this morning, the DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55. Now, we could do the usual thing and give you all the info straight from the press release, but this time we won't.

Why not? Because we can go one better than that. We got our hands on a test sample of the DMP-BD35 ahead of everyone else, and have spent the last week thrashing it to death (well, testing it anyway) in our home cinema listening rooms.

All information on the player was embargoed until today, but now we can bring you our exclusive review here on whathifi.com. So you don't have to take Panasonic's word for how this player performs, we can tell you independently just how it shapes up.

To find out if Panasonic has produced a serious rival for Sony's BDP-S350 and Samsung's BD-P1500, read our full verdict here.
