I didn't get as far as the pricing - just saw the venue for the golf and starting singing:

Sky Player is free to watch in real-time if you have the appropriate package (ie I can watch the Sports channels on my laptop from anywhere, provided I have sufficient bandwidth available), that doesn't cost anything extra* so I don't really see why this should be any different.
*It does cost extra to watch shows "after the event", which is equally as annoying.
I agree, I have sky's full pacakage + iPhone & iPad, and spend alot of time travelling, but I refuse to pay £5 a month.
Surely you didn't expect it to be free?!
An EXTRA £5 per month? Even I'm not that much of a mug!
