Headfunk When I got my 3D tv I could not even receive
the twin pictures until i got Sky to 'switch on'for me
so your situation seems unusual.

Not sure i understand their 70,000 sign up claim, and whether it means anything at all.
Any Sky customer who takes out full Sky World package (ie, all channels inc Sport and Films) automatically becomes eligible for Sky 3D.
Now with a signup of 10 million people (which Sky have claimed) then 70,000 is less than 1%, plus out of the 70,000 subscribers there's no proof/need that they actually own a 3D tv.
Obviously pointless subscribing if you haven'y got a 3D tv, but the option is still there so 70,000 means nothing.
I totally agree with 'tonyroolze' in that they should build better quality box's and definatly also have DD5.1 hd sound via hdmi with reliability to boot. I do not see why this would be so hard to accompolish, they just need to spend a bit more and with profit's galore i do not see why not.
Any chance of SKY building some quality Sky boxes then with decent DD5.1 hdmi sound output and better reliability all round?
With all those big profits i don't see why not!
Im all for new tech and dont want to start a war but I have never contacted sky to "subscribe" so I would argue that the above figure is out by at least 1. When it was first introduced, flicking through channels, the 3d channel would say "to subscribe call..." not its live and I havent contacted sky for this.
To put Headfunk strait you have to register with Sky to receive 3D so the 70,000 is probably correct.

Would be interesting to know if that "70,000 customers have now subscribed to Sky 3D" includes people like me who have a HD box but do not have 3d TV, I can view the 3d cancel and it appears as 2 screens side by side so i guess Im subscribed??
If so the "70,000" is clearly not the number of people using sky 3d.
