Sky Movies home cinema guide
Sky Movies has teamed up with designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen and What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision to create a new home cinema guide

In the current economic climate staying in is supposed to be the new going out, and watching movies at home is one of the most popular pastimes, with nearly half (47%) of the British public choosing to stay at home for a night of entertainment, according to a recent survey.

So Sky Movies has teamed up with interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and our very own Andy Kerr, Editor of the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Ultimate Guides, to create a new online home cinema guide.

The pair have created the perfect living room for watching films and given Sky Movies their top tips on creating the ideal viewing experience in your living room, whatever your budget.

The guide tells you the optimum distance to have between your TV and couch, how to light your room and even how to decorate it.

More after the break

For those who are looking to improve and not move, the guide offers the complete resource to transform your living room and create an inviting and indulgent focal point in the home that the whole family can enjoy.
