Panasonic has launched "the world's brightest projector", the PT-AH1000E. Set to retail for around 2000 euros, it's designed to deliver good results even in lighter room conditions.
An LCD projector, using Panasonic's D7 chip, the PT-AH1000E claims a 2800 lumens brightness rating and 50,000:1 contrast ratio.
Technology inside the projector includes Panasonic's Light Harmoniser, which adjusts the picture according to the ambient light, adding extra colours to hit the 'target' picture.
There are Game and Sports modes to get the best out of fast-moving content, with Panasonic pinning its hopes on a bumper Summer for big-screen sport thanks to the London Olympics and the football European Championships.
The PT-AH1000E is set to retail for around 2000 euos, so that'll no doubt be around £2000 or a little under in the UK. It's due out now.
