NEWS: Sony's plug and play Network Walkman

This is Sony's new NWD-B100 Network Walkman player, a USB key device designed for direct connection to a PC, or any system with a suitable socket. Pull off the cap to reveal the plug, and you can just drag and drop music onto it, with no need for 'complicated software', according to the people who brought you Sony Connect.

Available in two versions, the 1GB NWD-B103 and the 2GB NWD-B105, the device has built-in software to transfer recently added tracks from your PC, and a 3-line display to aid track access. The unit will also recharge when connected to your PC

There's also a built-in FM tuner and microphone, and you can record from either of these, and a six-band graphic equaliser. The Sony comes in two chrome finishes: black or white.
