NEWS: Philips keeps Blu-ray player under wraps

While there was plenty that Philips did tell us about its forthcoming product releases, there was surprisingly little mention of the company's long-awaited Blu-ray player, the BDP7200.

As we reported here from the CES Show back in January, the player was scheduled for a US release in April this year, and we speculated that a UK release would follow in time. But there was no mention of this at the European press launch last week...

The wealth of Philips press releases in paper and electronic form provide no further clues, apart from two images tucked away on the press DVD. We have of course uploaded this for your viewing pleasure again.

So, we're still waiting to get our grubby mits on this player, and will keep you posted should we receive any more information.
