NEWS: Opus heads for the great outdoors

Putting your money on a decent summer? If so, the new Opus exterior speakers might be just the thing to carry some music out into the garden.

If you're less confident, take heart from the fact that the speakers are guaranteed to be weatherproof.

Two models have been launched: the flagship OE165, at £175 a pair, and the OE150, which sells for £130 a pair.

Both models come complete with adjustable rust-proof mounting brackets enabling them to be used in either vertical or horizontal orientation.

The smaller model combines a 13.5cm injection-moulded mid/bass unit with a 25mm treated anodised aluminium dome tweeter, while the larger one uses the same tweeter with a 16.5cm woofer.

The speaker brackets come with integral cable covers, and the speakers themselves are finished in white, but can be painted to match any exterior colour scheme.
