NEWS: Altec Lansing boosts iPod dock range with super-slim iM500

If you want a light, slim iPod dock, the new £80 inMotion iM500 from Altec Lansing could fit the bill.

Designed for use with the iPod nano, the iM500 is super thin and the docking station can be folded up to make it easier to carry when travelling. It measures just 1.2 x 21.5 x 1.8cm (h x w x d) and weighs 340g.

The unit can be powered by either the mains or six AAA batteries, providing up to eight hours of continuous play.

The built-in iPod dock charges and synchs the iPod nano, and there's an auxiliary input for connecting other devices such as a CD or MP3 player. A protective carrying pouch is included as standard.

If you like your music with a bit of bass, the iM500's MaxBass technology will give the low-end a boost.

You can buy the iM500 from consumer electronic stores or online at www.alteclansing.com.
