Good luck with that Paul there are 80 episodes all 43 min + , i guess we won't be hearing from you for a few weeksWink

I've joined for the free trial period. I must say I'm quite impressed. Watching Prison Break on the XBox360 the picture is near DVD quality with stereo sound. The sound does seem a bit weedy though. Some movies had DD.  The selection of movies and shows is quite extensive and it's easy to use.

I stand corrected.

The question is, can I watch all four seasons of prison break in a month so I don't have to pay for next month?

@Alex Price - No hating here, just understandably sceptical but would be pleased to be proven wrong. I actually hope this will force LoveFil;m into doing something about the quality of their streams. I'd like to keep LoveFilm going for BRs, but paying for LF and NF concurrently isn't an option...

Thought id let you know, its not on my D8000 or my panny BDT-310 but ive given it up as a bad idea TBH. Had a scroll through their selection of films then rang customer helpline to find out about how quick new releases would be released for streaming and/or downloading. Was told by the woman on phone that they are currently 3-6months behind release date in America and she had no idea about how far behind they would be in dear ol Blighty as they've only just launched (obviously) Frown....

I am interested in that too. Apparently it isn't available on all samsung tvs as yet , that's what i heard somewhere ...I've just checked on my sammy  c750 and bluray 5900 and ...nothing! C'mon samsung!

If netflix offers new releases as well through internet i'll damp lovefilm quicker than i think Smile))

Does anyone know if this is available on Samsungs 'smart hub'?

Have been looking but cant seem to find it...

I joined today and have been testing it out all day. I have 20mb Broadband.

As Clare says, dont judge it until you have tried it. Picture quality is great, at least on a par with my Sky HD and many films are 5.1 DD.

So dont really understand the haters that think HD streaming isnt even possible. I have been streaming movies in HD from my Xbox and Apple TV for over 12 months now. Only a blu Ray disk can better it.

And yet i've seen Netflix streaming Blu-ray quality video and HD Audio*
- don't judge anything until you've seen it

* Admittedly this wasn't in UK; any limitations more likely due to be to our backwards broadband infrastructure Sad

I'm with Jam on this one. I've just joined LoveFilm for BluRay/DVD and must say the online content (via XBox) is very poor quality. The sound is pants too, often mono. I wouldn't recommend anyone have LoveFilm just for the streaming content, you would be disappointed. I don't expect Netflix will be any better.

I joined LoveFilm to rent Blu-rays while they were still very expensive to buy. Now they keep trying to push their online steaming service to me but the quality is far worse than DVD, or even off-air broadcasts!

I can't imagine HD streaming is possible over standard 20Mb broadband speeds and some kind of device to buffer might be required to ensure consistent playback. If Netflix is anything like LF's streaming quality, as an AV enthusiast I'm simply not interested.

No, it does not work on the ATV1, not even under XBMC etc (if you modified your ATV1).

Those who bought the ATV1 now need to update but I think I will be spending my money elsewhere rather than an ATV2 (well not until then release a new model with 1080 support).

Presumably that doesn't apply to the ATV1?

Yes, you just need to restart your ATV2 by pressing menu + down for 6 seconds then the Netflix item appears at the top of the 'Internet' section in the UI.

Interesting, out of interest, can anyone see if this is found its way to the Apple TV2, a la USA?  Can't check from current location.
