Microsoft has joined forces with Warner Bros. Entertainment and Pathé, to bring more High Definition film content to UK Xbox users via the Xbox Live service.

Pathé, who were behind last year's blockbuster Slumdog Millionaire, join fellow film houses MGM Studios, Paramount and Universal Studios in providing films to rent through the Xbox Live Video Store.

Microsoft boasts that with the new addition of Pathé movies it now has the largest catalogue of HD on-demand entertainment available on any platform on its Xbox Live service.

Movies are available to rent on Xbox Live from £2.08 or 250 Microsoft points. Your rental time lasts for 14 days, or 24 hours after the first time you play the film.
