How to set up your hi-fi

Choosing the right source, amplifier and speakers is critical when building a top-notch hi-fi system, and auditioning different components to find out how they perform can be half the fun.

But once you've decided on the right kit for you, it's essential that when you get it home you set it all up correctly. Positioning the speakers in the wrong place, choosing the wrong cables or failing to set up your CD player or turntable properly could ruin the sound.

So we've put together another of our 'How To' videos to give you a simple, easy-to-follow guide to ensure you get the very best from your hi-fi.

If you're not sure whether to go for standmount or floorstanding speakers, where to place them, how to rack your electronics or set up your turntable, check out our 'How to get the best from your hi-fi' video. It's packed with handy hints, tips and advice.

And don't forget, if you need more technical advice, pop over to our Forums where we'll be happy to help.
