We're at Apple's event in London, ready to see what's new as soon as it's announced in San Francisco.
Lots of speculation surrounding the event, from new 'Touch' versions of the nano to a smaller mini-iPad and perhaps even a new streaming music service.
The Apple Stores are down, so clearly something's on the way – keep checking back and we'll report the event as it happens.

18.01 Steve Jobs on stage in SF to nerdy applause. Introduces his 'partner in crime' Steve Wozniak; now he's talking about Apple Stores, after saying 'we have a lot of cool stuff to show you'.

18.34 Apple A4 chipset, 3-axis Gyro, FaceTime with front-facing camera. HD rear camera, can edit using iMovie.

18.55 So, the new Apple TV. A quarter of the size of the current model 'about the size of a hockey puck'.

18.58 ABC and Fox already signed up in the States, 99c a show, commercial-free. Apple expects others to 'see the light'. Purely a rental device – click on a show, and you can rent it to watch. Or first-run movies, in HD, for $4.99.

You'll not be surprised to know that almost all of the new products conform to the standard consumer electronics exchange rate. You know, the one where one dollar equals one pound...
apple tv seems like clever marketing strategy by apple, dropped the price so that more people buy it and rent from videos from i-tunes, but still only offers 720p hd resolution
Distorted Vision - I welcome the touch screen on the nano. The wheel had become too small and would hurt fingers. It lost Apple's love for a long time and good riddance I say.

Disappointed with the new iPod Nano. Some may like the touchscreen but I prefer the jog wheel. But mostly importantly same storage capacity as previous generation!
Well the 'Live Broadcast on the Apple site does not seem too live to me It stopped Playing just after the Ping Chat and Has no re-started I only wanted to see the TV Bit.
Can you use the New TV for streaming Music?
Are they sorting out the reception issues on the iphone 4 with firmware updates or can't you do it that way? Will it be sorted on all future releases of the iphone 4 or do you have to put up with it until the iphone 5? Thanks
