samsung s-pad?
Tablet PC expected on domestic market as early as August, with LG following a few months later

Reports in Korea suggest that the country's two consumer electronics giants, LG and Samsung, are set to launch tablet PCs to take on Apple's iPad.MK Business News says that Samsung's touchscreen device, tentatively called the S-Pad, could be on sale in Korea as soon as August, with LG expected to launch a similar product in October or November.

The Samsung will have a 7in display, smaller than the iPad's 9.7in, and will run Google's Android operating system, which the company already uses for some of its mobile phones.

It's thought LG is yet to decide between Android and Microsoft operating systems for its device, but the two are destined to hit the Korean market at about the same time as the iPad is launched there.
