JustHDMI launches combined AV switcher and scaler
New from online accessory retailer JustHDMI is the All To HDMI HKVB0901, an external AV switchbox providing not only upconversion from analogue video inputs to HDMI, but 1080p upconversion, too.
The £495 unit has Scart, VGA, S-video and component video inputs, as well as two HDMI ins and stereo audio input, and can output via HDMI, with audio in stereo analogue and optical digital.
It can handle video inputs at 480i,480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, and where required upscale both analogue and HDMI inputs to 1080p.
A remote control is provided to switch inputs, and the unit can also be controlled by a computer via an RS232 Control connection.
The HKV0901 comes complete with power adapter and a three-year warranty.
Also new from JustHDMI is the Estremo Ultimate Cat2 HDMI Cable range. This starts at £27.60 for a 1m length, and is available in lengths up to 15m.

What amp do you have in mind as would be interested in one if you know of one, especially will all the different connections.
You will get a lot more for your money if you spent £500 on an amp/reciever that will do exactly the same job. personely i wouldn't bother with this i would spend it elseware.
Tricky to get a Wii with HDMI so ideal for that and also for XBOXs etc with no HDMI.
And one to which you are entirely entittled.
IMO if your going to spend £5 short of £500, you would be better spending the money on equipment you want with HDMI in the first place, but thats just my oppinion.
