Unilet Xpo

On demonstration will be a £250,000 fully active digital home cinema system from Meridian, including the range-topping 810 digital projector, which alone costs £140,000.

Outside in the car park will be a PMC active studio surround system comprising three BB5/XBDs for the keft/centre/right channels and two MB2/XBDs for the rears.

Powered by a staggering 5,500 watts of Bryston amplifcation, Unilet plans to demo the system using an uncompressed recording of a Messerschmitt ME 109 fly-by. Now that should wake the neighbours!

Inside the store, the newly-opened demonstration suite will host a flagship hi-fi system with many exclusive "first listen" products, including the ProAc D80R speakers, Marantz KI Pearl CD player and musical Fidelity Titan amplifier, all connected using Nordost/Quantum cabling.

Representatives from many key maufacturers will be present throughout the day to talk to visitors, including: Peter Thomas, MD of PMC; Roger Batchelor, Denon; John Buchanan, Meridian; and staff from KEF, ProAc, Nordost and Musical Fidelity.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm at 35 High Street, New Malden, Surrey KT3 4BY. The Rhythm Cats – a three-piece blues, rock and pop band – will play throughout the day.
