Give your CD collection a belated spring clean... this Christmas

JML Disc Clinic
" width=

Dirt, surface scratches and even fingerprints can and will affect the performance of your CDs. But you don't need to replace them, cover them in toothpaste or start spitting on them in order to restore them to their former glory.

JML reckons it has the best solution in the form of the Disc Clinic. Out in November – yes, that is rather a long time away, isn't it? – the Disc Clinic combines a clean wash spray and the 'clinic' device itself. Insert the disc inside, turn the handle a few times, and your disc should be as good as new.

Sceptical? Well yes, we've seen the odd device like this over the years and haven't been convinced ourselves, but we'll just have to wait and see if this one is the answer to our surface scratch nightmares...

The Disc Clinic will set you back a tenner and will be on sale from ASDA, Boots, Debenhams and Woolworths, as well as online at www.JMLdirect.com.

JML make useless tat.

Its not hard to keep discs clean is it ?

Had one for a while, bought it because a dvd a friend (eventually) returned looked like it had been cleaned with a wire brush, it doesn't work, good for smears and fingerprints, rubbish for anything else.

Um...a mate of mine has had one for many months.

Don't scratch your discs in the first place - it is easy enough to look after them. When you get the inevitable thumbprint on the playing surface, use a microfibre cloth - the kind you can get from photographic shops and opticians.  In my experience all these cleaning gadgets are at best no better than a 'manual' wipe and at worst are actually harmful to your CDs.

out in november?  i already have one.  its rubbish.
