Flagship Marantz AV receiver hits the shops next month

Marantz has confirmed availability for its flagship SR7005 receiver, which we first saw at the company's European press launch last month.
The 3D-capable SR7005 will be in the shops in August, at £1400.
It has six HDMI 1.4 inputs and two outputs, offering 3D support, Audio Return Channel and pass-through in standby mode, and also offers upscaling and upconversion of standard-definition video sources using an Anchor Bay Technolo0gies ABT2015 chipset.
Audio set-up is via Audyssey's MultEQ XT PRO room connection, which runs along with the HD audio decoding on a 400Hz Sharc digital signal processor from Analog Devices.
Other Audyssey technologies onboard include DSX processing to provide additional speakers at the front-wide area, Dynamic EQ for listening at low volumes and Dynamic Volume to equalise out differing levels when viewing.
A built-in media player handles streaming music and still images, plus internet radio, there's a USB input offering digital connection for iPods, and the Marantz M-XPort will connect adapters including the RX101 Bluetooth receiver.
The amplifier section delivers 7x125W, and the SR7005 will be available in black or silver.
