BRISTOL SHOW 2013: PMC shows off £25k BB5 SE speakers

PMC has launched three new special edition speakers at this year's Bristol Show, the iB2 SE, MB2 SE and BB5 SE.
The £25k BB5 SE speakers are taking pride of place in PMC's main demo room, running with Bryston electronics.
Based on PMC's BB5-Active studio monitors, the new three-way BB5 SE speakers feature a newly designed cabinet and an extra special finish with extra detailing on the terminal panels and drivers.

PMC claim the new SE models feature a lower cabinet resonance for a purer music signal and better handling of low frequencies,
This flagship SE speakers are joined by the IB2 SEs, yours for a cool £13,475, and the MB2 SEs, priced at £16,100.
The original BB5 was developed for the BBC Maida Vale studio complex and subsequently in facilities such as Metropolis in London, Teldex in Berlin, and by artists including Prince and Stevie Wonder.
You can read more details on the PMC SE speakers on the PMC website.

Your wrong.
Worth every penny!
i think the BB5is are still available for cheapskates.
Pretty much unequalled for depth and quality of bass so
if you're into organ music or psy trance these are the ones.
perferred them to 801Ds and the ATC 300s.
For that amount of money you could probably of hired the artists to perform for you!
Those must be the ugliest speakers ever! For the amount of £££ there, you can set yourself up a killer home cinema and still have enough money left to buy popcorn. You would have to be nuts to pay so much when I'm sure my B&Ws prob do the same as them.
Not sure why all the shock and horror at the looks of these speakers – after all, PMC has been making pro-use monitors of similar design for many years:
sorry they are idiotic - i value good design and as others have commented they look naff. The word idiotic may not be to your taste so please tone it down
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they are not idiotic at all they may not be to your taste that's fine so tone it down.
Shouldn't they have a hamster running around inside the wheel?
It may look ugly, but it sure did sound sweet.
They were pig ugly! Speaker manufacturers still making idiotic looking gear
So that's where my alloy wheels went
Stunning, I have never heard sound like that before. I felt like the artist was in front of me on stage singing. Sheer beauty and If only I had room, and budget, to house them then I would.
