it's a wonderful prize, but I have honestly no idea what I'd do with 12 pairs of AKG K451 headphones...

... But unfortunately wasn't launched until after the Awards judging deadline. The review here was written over a week after the Awards ceremony, so by then the Awards were all done and dusted.

The Awards issues were sent out the day before the magazine went on sale in the shops and the website went live. Unfortunately, we don't control the Royal Mail and I'm sorry to hear your copy arrived 3 days late.

Also, you won't be penalised in any way for entering the competition in the days after it goes live on the website - that makes no difference at all. As long as you enter before the closing deadline, you stand just as much chance of winning as anyone else.

As for Naim, it did get an Award: Best streamer £1000-£2000 for the Naim NAC-N 172 XS, and thoroughly well deserved it was too (see p43 of the magazine).

My copy arrived in the post today. That is 3 days after subscribers to money saving websites get an email about the competition. Do you really think that is right? People with no interest in Hi-Fi, but on websites to make a few bob, get to hear about these competitions first? Perhaps you do; perhaps the idea is to get new people to the website, nothing wrong with that. However, us loyal subscribers get nothing. There should be competitions for subscribers, otherwise we may as well just read the reviews online and save a few Brazilian rainforests. I think it is a fair point.

Onto the awards, not a single win for Naim, not at any level. The UnitiLite has to be the best value for money out there. I know that Naim service is pretty non-existant these days, but it should have won something. Actually I'm going to order one tomorrow to stream and 'power' the n-Vi.

Maybe I should get my partner to create an account seeing as the magazine subscription is in her name although she is not interested in HiFi  you would think after 20yrs of buying the mag I would have won at least 1 competition rant over.

This competition, like all competitions on the site, is open to all UK-resident registered members of the site – being a subscriber has no bearing on the likelihood of you winning this, or any, competition.

But good luck anyway...

Competitions are by there very nature random and perhpas you are just one of lifes unfortunate loosers; where competitions are concerned anyway ;-)

I've never won the lottery but hope to one day ...

Ok I am going to enter but I bet I won't get anywhere tried for years to win one of your competitions I even got my partner to subscribe to the magazine on my behalf as I do not have a bank account. I am looking forward to receiving my latest copy through the post soon

Not that you're getting obsessed or anything...

Nice to see the JBL OnBeat Xtreme get on there. My mate has one and the sound is superb for an idock. A few top brands on show but there seems to be one Naim missing. Maybe their products are too cheap these days!
