Party!!! [<:o)]New Pioneer LCD TV

I have finally been able to view the new lcd tv from pioneer.

As i am about to change tv's,i needed to see if the kuro worked on lcd.

This is important as the pioneer is at a price compared to most other lcd.

I did mainly watch hd content and i will say i was blown away with the picture, the blacks were black not charcoal.

Freeview picture was  good as the shop was having problems with the aerial???? i could only watch soap program.

As will i buy one you bet, even before whathifi reviews the tv.£1700 is a lot for this tv but given what i have viewed even if not with bluray/dvd pictures this is one beast of a set to beat.

p.s.i noticed that the mains lead is a old figure of 8 connector, are the plasmas using this or the iec.

The plasmas use the more heavy duty kettle leads. This is possibly because they consume a bit more power. Interesting to hear your thoughts. I can't wait to have a look at one now. What size was the one you viewed?

Re: New Pioneer LCD TV

kuro's are using sharp panels.I've seen some at the stores and the image was very good.the sharp lcd's have also good blacks.but the reviews often point out banding on the screen.really don't know if pioneer's have improved this problem.hope so.
