Hi I've just changed my living room set up and have decided to go for the home cinema approach. TV sorted - Sony 40W2000; receiver also Sony 1200ES; surround speakersQ Acoustics 1010; Virgin V+ box.

What I now need is a new dvd player that will also cope with music playback as well as movies - so far have been recommended Marantz (don't know model number - cost about £400).

Anyone have any recommendations please?

Sure you don't want a HD-DVD player - Toshiba EP30 or EP35 that also upscales DVD? Currently has a 7 free HD-DVD offer, look on Amazon or Play for the best deals and specs.

Any Arcam or Denon.
