upgrading my system - always a dilemma. have recently purchased panasonic HDi lcd Tv with 5yr warranty + Sky HD package. Am very pleased but existing amp.Pioneer VSX-D510 needs a change.TV is HDMI only and not HDMI 1.3,shall I ignore1.3.Please help

I wouldn't necessarily ignore 1.3. After you've auditioned, if you're stuck on a couple / few amps in terms of how they sound, and the only difference is one has 1.3 and one doesn't, that could be your decision maker. After all, you might change your TV in the future

On the other hand, I wouldn't go with a worse sounding amp just because it supported 1.3. That would be madness!
