Simple system
This is my new system after many years without anything
decent. I mainly listen to classical
music, especially 15th/16th century polyphony.

I'll take some pics but it's a very small willy (in hifi terms).
Chris
Here it is! Well I would post a pic if the software would let me!
I must be dim.
Chris
So anyone want to tell me how to point at a file on my computer? Rubbish CB software!
Chris
You need to put you photo's on flick-r or similer, i copy & paste but other forum members do it differently.
Upload photo to Flickr, photobucket or similar. Copy link that ends in .jpg. When posting here, click the tree icon and paste the link into the box that appears. Bingo, voila and hey presto.
I find photobucket easiest
1st attempt!
A bit of a faff but I got there! As you can see the room is wider than it is deep and is currently being reorganised. There will be two more display cabinets in due course (I collect art deco china
) and the sideboard at the left will be relocated elsewhere.
Chris
PS I used a wide-angle lens for the picture, hence the slight curvature.
doesn't all the china vibrate with your music on?
No it doesn't but I do!
Chris
Looks really classy.
Also what's your surround set up, I'd definitely get rid of the fronts and use the big Kefs. You may not even worry about a centre.
It's a Sony STR-DB895D (I had to get down on hands and knees to see that!) that I got when I moved myself and my business to Birmingham. I was too busy to spend any time investigating so I just went into a Sony-Centre and bought the tv and system in about 15 minutes flat. Actually I think it sounds pretty good for film but it doesn't cut the mustard for music. I may integrate it all as you suggest in due course.
