True blue what happened with your "Emergency surgery", just waiting to choose/buy a smaller 32" TV at the min as i feel my 50" plasma is too big for the living room. Then ill set up for final and take some photos!!!!! lol
Sounds like good set-up Dave

Had to have L5/S1 removed laminectomy and discectomy. Had been working with a slipped disc for a year apparently. Prolapsed outward so was ok till I came off my push bike and "popped" it back in which trapped my spinal cord.....that hurt a bit.
Still back to work in 16 days
(never know might have my cart back from REGA by then)
ahh man sorry too hear that, hope yr feeling better (ish).
I had the same kind of thing L5 S1, had a decompression and discectomy, 8 weeks off work, with physio inbetween. Dont get to much pain anymore ( The "Flippin JESUS!!!!") pain, but struggle working long hours,or walking a long distance. Been discharged now so on my own with it,working and gentle physio exersices for me from now on.lol
Ill have a look at yr system/read about it.is it on here somewhere? Pics. Ive just got a bit of gentle decorating to do/ maybe get a new TV cos im not setting up only to strip down again. Temp set up in bay window in front of house!!! lol...
Anyway theres no rush, we the glassback annal! .....
Reggaedave.
The best of luck with your recuperation reggaedave and True Blue, my late father was blighted with back problems, having several operations over the years but come the end he still wasn't completely sorted, so I have an inkling of what you're going through.
Looking forward to seeing those pics (but don't rush it).

Yes mate just doing physio myself now, getting back into the gym (no weights) cross trainer, body balance classes and walking the hind legs off the dog. I know that O b Jesus pain the one that stops you whatever your doing. Down to a dull ache now so major improvements.
Dont be lifting anything heavy take care. will post my own updated pics when I get my TT back.

I'm with you there TB. Seeing Orthopedic surgon about L4/L5 & L5/S1. Seems facet joint injections aren't cutting it.
Hope you continue to improve.

just for the record, ive been taking paracetomol with Dihydrocodine every 4 hours (ish) when im working. Been on these for a while now. But for say the last 3 months ive also been taking Amitriptyline 10mg (an old anti-deppressant what has a side effect of helping with nerve pain), used to take 1 a night but didnt feel much different,so now take 2.
I had to ask for this tho after my own research, maybe an idea for you one day....
Appreciate the heads up.......and what a bunch of old crocks we are.
I also was given Amitryptolene, great at numbing "nerve" type pain that normal painkillers cant hit. Made me groggy as in the morning so ended up taking two about 1900 and managed to get sleep. Not that old..........only 34 and now had two back ops, some people just get all the luck
Can I join the "bad back" club - two disc removed from neck C5-C6 and C6-C7; I still get pins and needles in hands, restricted movement and dull ache 24/7. Tried Amiltryptaline but it just puts me to sleep, currently on Pregabalin for pain caused by nerve damage. Don't let it get you down. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing your new kit. Cheers Richard
While we're still on this subject, and in case it's of interest - I've recently come accross three different people (2 back surgery + 1 hip replacement) that got great relief from MBT shoes. In fact, it was the only way one of them has had any ease.
I found some on sale while away (as normally very expensive) and am trying them as a result of this feedback. Sketcher's "Shape-Ups" are similar and much cheaper, though probably not quite as effective.
