Oohmegollygosh that's more like it!
Well, it's half nine on Christmas day.
And for the first time ever, I know for a fact that both sets of neighbours are away all weekend. (I live in a 1970s terrace with a retired couple either side...).
Since my 773es arrived, I have not dared to go beyond about 9 o clock on the juiceometer. I've been itching for over two months to give them both barrels from my Rotel biamp setup.
It's finally happened. Let rip with The Rogue Element's Rogue Rock- special delivery, and did the whole disc. The sound totally pinned me to the sofa. Eleven on the dial, things rattling in the kitchen, but the speakers drove the room beautifully, with solid deep bass and crystal clear mids. The treble is stunning- wads of detail but no harshness whatsoever.
Threw some Massive Attack at them- Mezzanine is absolutely mind-melting, Teardrop shook the house, and Protection brought a tear of joy to my eye.
I've spun an assorment of D&B, breaks, chart rubbish, heavy metal and electronica through them, and I can't catch them out at all. Probably the best £120 I've ever spent...!
I think this calls for a smiley:

Excellent
I used to love being able to do this, once upon a time I worked 7.00-3:30 leaving me three hours with no one else in a fully detached house before everyone finished work. I miss eight hour days
