Next upgrade will be a decent pair off stands, but fore now i'm happy with the sound, really love those 685
even on lowe volume there is a full/rich and very smooth sound with a kick witch i just love.
open up the volume and it gets just better, but at high levels the bass is getting too much,
soo stands must be the next.

Cables are Chord silverscreen/Cobra(CD)/Crimson(TV)

Very sleek. Marantz kit really looks great. Have you considered an interim solution before you get stands to lift speakers off cabinet. Auralex make solutions but they seem expensive.
