Upgraded the ethernet connections yesterday as wireless was just not efficient.
Put in an ethernet splitter box and hardwired the receiver,tv,bluray and sky to that.
This solved the iPlayer connection issues straight away. Cheaper than buying numerous dongles too.
That's a cracking set up you have there and you've obviously put a lot of thought into what you want and how you set it all up. I agree with you about using Ethernet as an alternative to wireless. Using well-shielded cables are always better that using wireless, as you reduce the chance of noise entering the surrounding cables and equipment.
