Thought I would update with some more pickys, as you can see the back wall is now complete, came out really good saved on a plasterer, lowered ceiling is good also, fitted down lighters at the weekend, very nice effect, the pctures make them look very bright but they are not, will be comtrolled with a dimmer anyway, back wall finished in matt black this just a base for the paper which is a heavy flock, see link for images, really nice paper, so painting the wall black will not allow any marks or lighter colour to come through.
The link is purely for images, in case anyone asks.
The side panels you can see on each end is slightly recessed back about 2in with an over hang these will conceal LED Rope lights which will iluminate the sides, so hopefully this will look good, never can tell but should be Ok, teh very top of the ceiling is to be finished as you can see, this has been left untill the rear and side speaker cable has been run, so need access to pull them through. The recess for the Tv is for a 55incher so the one there at the moment is my trusted samsung 46 very good tv is has been to, got in 2009 how time flys, anyway here my latest pictures, hope you like.
What a total mess (first pic). What an amzing transformation (latest pics)Very imaginative and professional job.

 Fantastic project,thanks for sharing.
Looks as though you have put a lot of thought and hard work into that. Nice!
Thanks for all the kind comments, it has taken a little time but I was not in any rush, its funny when I look back at the work and construction, then the nearly finished result it does not look much, just a wall with 3 holes in and a big one for the Tv. But the thing is it does not have to cost an arm and a leg, it is basically plaster board and timber thats it really, and as stated a little thought and imagination, AND of course some DIY skills would be good, but even if you are not a diy-er, getting some help with your ideas and designs still should not cost the earth, I am lucky my good lady does not worry to much, so just lets me get on with it, I have chosen most of the equipment now just the amp, pioneer will be order of the day just need to pick.
Anyway thanks again for compliments will post more pickys soon
 Actually looking back I would say uploading the images were harder....
i just finish mine and im well proud of it.then i saw wot you did now mine looks pants :wall:
Hey Dont knock it...I am sure you have taken pride and enjoyed what you have done, alot comes down to what some one can actually do in there lounge, be it handy at DIY or more importantly be wife freindly, putting up stud postioning, plaster boarding is not every ones cup of tea, and trying to convince the other half is not easy, at the end of the day as long as you are happy thats all that matters, I have seen other installs and I think like you, WOW mine looks nothing compared to that, but I can only do what I can do and get away with, AND with the budget I have, so enjoy.
Lets see what you have done anyway
i have no idea how to up load pics.

Very Nice...that is the bedroom yes  sorry if I am wrong... very clean lines, nice the way the Tv is showing no cables, and love the film posters, I am a collector of original movie posters, I think posters should be shown more in the home, but most if not all are not wife freindly.Anyway you should be chuffed with your work especailly being the bedroom.
When do you start the lounge...
