Hello, i have a sonos play 1 and no ability to have internet at home, I can go to the library to use internet. There is no audio jack on the speaker jjust a power cord and what looks like an ethernet port. Is there no way to listen to music or plug it into my tv to use it. It seem rediculous that i cant use it without internet.. Is there a cord that would allow me to connect the ethernet cord to an audio line so i can watch movies or listen to music?
I know it's an old 'dead' format, but i have a collection of over 400 HD-DVD discs.
I started watching the Harry Potter discs a couple of weeks ago and found that 3 of the 5 discs would no longer play all the way through.
So i decided to check all my other Warner HD-DVD discs. Of the 133 warner HD-DVD discs i have, 44 would not play. The majority of these discs were unplayed , many were still in the cellophane wrappers and were only opened to test the discs.
All the discs have been kept in the same dry, heated room, away from direct heat / sunlight.
I am quite pleased with myself today. I have bought a mint condition arcam Alpha 9 Integrated Amplifier. I have wanted Arcam hardware for a while but the cost was always something that I couldn't meet.
I am currently midway through a system build and wondered if anyone had any suggestions on a pair of stand mount speakers that would work well with the Alpha 9. I am currently looking to match the 9 with the 9P, but have yet to source one.

After many many years of renting we finally saved up enough for our deposit and are moved into our first home. It's a 1950's maisonette and hadn't been decorated since it was built!
The good thing was this meant I could plan the home theatre setup from scratch and hide all the cables so that the Mrs didn't get too upset with the amount of technology. In our preveious rented accomodation the amount of cables was a bit ugly...
The system is:

Some of you know that i got that itch of a new amplifier, so far i've demo the Linn Majik DSM ( will write down my findings later) and yesterday look what came to dinner last night...
