Dated but not dead..

well some is a bit old,,,

Turntable ... Rega 3 with a S shaped arm,  tried a straight arm; a bit boring [the man in the shop said oh! you want a Japanese sound then?  when I rejected it,,, bizarre ] and ADC XLM  cartridge fitted

Amp Denon PMA 250 se 

Cambridge Audio D100 cd with one of Stans DACs   doesn't sound like a 20 quid player now.... 

some ancient Technics tuner with LW on it 

Denon DRM500 tape that does still get used...... there is a sound you get with tape that you just can't replicate [ not the hiss ] it's just so bright and in your face , well mine is anyway. 

Oh yeh and a pair of Spendor BC1 speakers that totally widdle on any modern boxes I have owned..........

Upgrades to come , seperate phono amp [ probably arrive in the morning ] and some better speaker wire to replace the no name average stuff I am currently using.
