Hi guys,

Since the last time I uploaded my system pics I have moved house and purchased the DB1is, Mini mac, some merlin cables, a QED qonduit and some granite shopping boards. Here is the resulting system!

Very nice looking system.

Is that a little lego man on the fireplace (like in the White Stripes video)?

Very nice indeed.

Nice to see a system where AV obviously plays second fiddle to Hi-Fi.  Viva la M£sica!

BTW, how much of a difference did the QED Conduit Hub make?  I'm thinking of getting one, albeit the MDH2 version.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Yes that is the lego man from the white stripes video, had some lego knocking about and he was surprisingly easy to make!

The qonduit is good, I got the larger version so that I could have my amp plugged in without the constructing affect of a coiled mains conditioner. Its benefited the amp, thats the main reason I got it. I always had the source components on a conditioner so only noticed a marginal improvement.

Hi Brisk, That all looks great, could I just ask what veneer your PMCs are finished in? They look too dark for cherry and too light for walnut, but whatever they look superb, very jealous. Wink

The speakers are finished in walnut but I can see why you thought differently, they look a little different in natural light.

I love the little dot too, one of my favorite purchases, as apposed to solid state amps you really know when its on and operational!

Hi Brisk, great setups you have there. I've just taken a look at your flickr pages and really want to know what you have done to get your mediamonkey interface to look like that? I love the look of it. Also, is the top part of it a scrollable album art section?

Re: Brisk's bits and bods again

Sorry for the delayed response,

I find them superb, obviously give them a good demo beforehand though. They also seemed a little fussy with positioning so have a good play around with them but in those room dimensions they should be fin. They also need a good long run in before they perform there best.

The top part of the media monkey UI is scrollable, but I cant for the life of me remember where I got it from or what it was called. Actually it might have been the Pretty Pictures plug-in, I'm sure google will reveal all.

The little dot is connected to the variable output on the Beresford DAC and the amp to the fixed line output. This was one of the major appeals of the DAC so that I could have both connected at once.
