Wi Fi extender
Hi,
I currently have Virgin Wi Fi and my Apple TV is slightly out of range of the router. Any ideas of the best and cheapest way to extend it's range?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the reply Big Boss. I know I'm effectively asking you to do the job for me, but is there any of the above that you can recommend from personal experience?
Cheers.
Do you not have any old routers lying about?
They can often be reconfigured to act as repeaters/bridges/access points.
Afraid not Dave. I've bitten the bullet and bought one anyway!
Before you run out of return options devo, have you tried changing the channel on your router? I changed from 1 or auto to 13 and usefully extended my router's range to fill a 'flat spot' on the 2nd floor
Hi Numpty,
I have tried changing the channel, but to no avail. My repeater has since arrived, but the dreaded windows instructions have come with it when I've got a MacBook! Any advice barring borrowing a windows laptop to set it up?
Cheers.
