Just got me a lovely new Sony TV, but having trouble viewing photos, watching videos etc off my NAS.

The network connection is ok, it can "see" the NAS but doesn't show any files or folders when I select it in the Xmedia bar under the photos, videos or music menus.. My NAS is a WD My Book with shared directories. I can view media stored on my laptop on the TV through the xmedia bar menus, but I thought the TV would be able to access NAS content? Any pointers?

Is your NAS DNLA compatible?

It is, and I've since discovered that it's running Twonky Media Server software. If I put media in the rigtht shared folders then it works. Although the video format supported by the TV seems to be very limited.
