Can i add a dac to a sonos s5
There appears to be no digital output, nor analogue input on the S5 (now called Play:5), so I can only conclude 'no'. It is mean to be an all-in-one.
The Sonos ZP90 is suitable for an external DAC, as you will see from several threads elswhere on this site.
I hope that helps.
No, why would you want to????? it would have to have a digital out and an anologue in to work which is a bit bizarre
Sources: Rega P7+Exact through Stagleine n
Rega Saturn / Sonos - > Rega Dac -> Chord Signature
Pre: NAC 202 / Hicap / NAPSC
Power: NAP 200
Speakers: PMCGB1i wired with NACA5
Correction to my earlier reply, although there is an analogue input, there is no digital out, so no external DAC is possible.
Thank's for your replies
