should i buy an Apple tv?

Im looking for ideas for christmas and the idea of the Apple tv came to mind,what would it do for me with the system i hope you can see in my signiture,we also have an ipad2 and 2 iphones in the house.If this is not something i need any good ideas for a cheap upgrade to my system.Thanks
Over and above the Airport Express, if connected to your TV, you could also stream photos and videos from your Macbook, plus access YouTube on your TV. With the iPad and the iPhones, you could stream videos and photos from these to your TV too.
With the iPad 2, you could also use Airplay Mirroring to mirror whatever was on your iPad to the TV as well. If you've got the iPhone 4S, you could do the same with this, but not with previous versions of the iPhone.
