PS3 Wireless Issues with Netgear DG843G v3 Router

Can anyone help solve this problem?
I have checked throughout the net and it appears there is an inherent problem with this router and the compatability with the PS3 wireless adapter.
There are no issues connecting using ethernet.
When attempting to set up the wireless connections, I input the correct key etc but the connection will not establish and the message reads - Check Security Settings.
It's driving me crazy!

I have the exact same router and a PS3. I set up my wireless connection without issue. However, I have subsequently changed my setup to use a powerline network (faster, more secure, more healthy?) and I can't remember the steps I took.
If you can guide me thru the steps you have taken (blow by detailed blow) I may be able to help (or somebody else might). I have to say that I didn't do anything special or clever, it just worked.
