Network Extender...?
Hi, I'm completely confused what I need to do, to achieve what I need, so any help would be gratefully received.
The problem is that my home network, consisting of 1x laptop,1x netbook and a PS3 are spread about the house.
The laptop has no problem getting a connection, however the netbook can be "hit or miss" and the PS3 (upstairs)has no chance of any connection.
I use a NETGEAR Wireless-N 150 Router with DSL Modem DGN1000 - Wireless router - DSL - 4-port switch - 802.11b/g/n, supplied by Orange, my BB supplier.
So would one of these, a TP-Link TL-WA730RE 150MBPS Wireless Lite N Range Extender, Atheros, 1T1R, 2.4GHz, do the job to allow better reception upstairs.
Also, assuming this was OK, would I need to plug any wires into it, except power.

Should do, though note the issues a few people have commented on in the reviews of getting it setup. However, no wires necessary apart from power, as long as it can connect to the wireless network wherever you put it, it should then extend the coverage to other areas of the house.
For the PS3, if you're using it for gaming or streaming, I'd personally put in a set of Powerlines and connect the PS3 directly to this - they should provide a much more consistent connection than the wireless extender will. You could even get some Powerlines like these which combine both a wireless extender and the powerline switch, allowing you to connect your PS3 directly for a more stable connection, but whilst still extending your wireless network upstairs for your Netbook usage.
